This one was pretty cool, and even if it was lite on the fighting compared to other I see now you are truly obsessed with 40K.ANYTHING! Many people familiar with science fiction will have heard of Warhammer 40,000, a tabletop wargame created by Games Workshop which features a universe so rich and deep, it's expanded into its own series of novels, video games, to their foul and unholy ways, resulting in a series of events known as the Horus Heresy, where many of the Primarchs and their associated chapters of Marines betrayed the Emperor and became something entirely less than human. I was pretty pumped since I had reread Rynn's World not to long before. Those Horus Heresy books are terrible to the point of borderline unreadable. It's a big one too, a step that brings Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 background novels one step closer to the mainstream. I went out and ordered the first book. I've been aware of the Warhammer 40000 sci-fi novels for a while now and if I'm being honest, I've always been a bit wary. They also weren't lying when they said that it was "a time of legend". What an effort this is proving to be so far this is a terrible book. The quality of the writing is sub par, I don't have any connection with any of the characters and it is honestly quite tedious. Prospero Burns represents a step forward for the Horus Heresy series.
